SMCCCD's Climate Action Plan (CAP) provides a comprehensive assessment of greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions across the District and details plans to reduce said emissions. To create this plan, the Sustainability Team partnered with Brailsford & Dunlavey, an environmental consulting firm with extensive experience doing climate action planning for institutions of higher education.

SMCCCD received a comprehensive GHG emissions inventory in July of 2022 from Brailsford & Dunlavey, and now looks to apply the provided metrics and tools to propose concrete steps towards reaching carbon neutrality.
