Before any work is carried out on the existing property whether it be refurbishment or demolition works, a refurbishment and demolition survey would be carried out which will provide information on whether asbestos and other harmful materials are present within the building.

An internal soft strip should be carried out which will just leave the shell of the existing structure, this will make it a lot easier in regards to the demolition stage of the project.

As we will be reusing as much brick as possible for this project the demolition of the outer shell must be done carefully to not further damage any of the existing structure. piecemeal method will be used which will add time onto the project but it will also save costs on materials as more bricks that can be reused the less that has to be bought.
