Additional Student Expenses

In addition to Program Fees and MRU Tuition & General fees there are other costs which participants will incur by participating in the field school. These costs can vary by field school and will vary from person to person and are not included in the set Program Fees. Participants must be prepared to pay these costs throughout the process in order to participate.

Additional Student Expenses are estimations of the costs that participants will encounter and may include:

  • cost of transportation to field school destination, such as return airfare;
  • mandatory Trip Cancellation and Interruption Insurance;
  • meals, snacks and refreshments;
  • passport and/or visa (if required);
  • specific supplies and/or gear required for the field school;
  • mandatory Out of Country Travel Health and Medical Insurance;
  • immunizations and medications if advised and/or required;
  • miscellaneous expenses such as personal spending money, money for phone cards/communication, etc.; and/or
  • emergency funds.

A detailed estimate of additional student expenses for each individual field school is available from the Field School Instructor or Field School Coordinator.
