Application Process

Applying

Each individual field school will have a specific application process and deadline. This information will be available at www.mtroyal.ca/fieldschools.

Although each field school will request different documents as part of the application, a field school application usually entails the following:

  • submitting a complete International Education field school application/registration package along with requested supporting documents (i.e. copy of passport, copy of transcript, etc.);
  • writing a statement of purpose that speaks to your interest in the program; and
  • completing an interview or informational meeting with the Field School Instructor.

Applicants are responsible for ensuring that they meet the criteria to apply to the field school and must ensure they are fully aware of and able to meet the time commitments, financial commitments, physical demands, travel rigor and academic expectations of the field school prior to applying.

All Applicants must ensure they follow the application process outlined and meet the deadlines given in order to be considered for the program.

Accepting Placement

Successful applicants will be notified of their acceptance into the program.

In order to confirm their spot in the program, participants must pay the initial program fee deposit by the deadline indicated.

Failure to make the payment by the deadline will result in their spot being given to another student.
