Strategies for offensive and defensive plays
FIELD OF PLAY: (GYM)
3 bases
Line for foul- yellow line under basket that stretches from bleacher to bleacher
Center circle= Pitchers mound
DEFENSIVE PLAY:
3 outs
Four types of outs:
Ball is caught in the air
Pegged with ball
Tag player with ball
2 foul balls
When the ball gets back to the pitcher runners have to stop
If ball is caught off the ceiling it is an out, if it is caught off the wall play continues
Do not stand in the base path
OFFENSIVE PLAY:
Kick ball from under the main basket
Once ball is kicked player can run to any base (do not have to follow any order)
Only stipulation is you must come from second when scoring
You do not have to advance to another base unless you feel it is safe to do so
Multiple people can be on the same base at the same time
If you kick the ball and it hits any of the 5 windows it is an automatic home-run
Make sure when running home from second you do not run through any other base
OTHER RULES:
Stay in the same batting order (no cutting)
Make sure when lined up in the batting order you are behind the blue line so you are not interfering with play.
An out will be given to the team if you do not stay behind the line.
