Learning Intentions - Unité 3 - “Matthieu et le Minitel”
1. NCEA 1.1 See NCEA Booklet – Family visit to Auckland + Shopping. Conversation/Interaction
2. Can you listen to and understand a passage of French about what people are doing around town? You will hear a passage of French read out to you several times and you be required to make notes in English about what is happening. Minimum standard: at least 7 correct statements.
3. Can you read and understand the French on pages 36-39? You will be given a passage with 10 words missing. 15 words will be listed below of which 5 go nowhere. You are to choose the best word for each gap. Minimum standard: at least 7 words correctly chosen.
4. Can you read and understand a dialogue in French? You will be given a dialogue in French. Some expression will however be given in English for which you are to give an equivalent expression in French. The dialogue will deal with phone conversations / le Minitel / computers. Min. stand. - excellent!
5. Can you write a detailed daily programme of a particularly exciting day / trip / event / etc. when you visited something / activities / trips? You will need to use the passé composé, reflexive verbs, and the imparfait. Minimum standard: most of the French used is accurate and well structured using mots de liaison.
YOU MUST SHOW OFF YOUR FRENCH - BE A LINGUISTIC EXTROVERT.
Include one thing that went wrong and some chores you had to do around the house before going out.
