Learning Intentions /- Unite 1 - "La Rentrée"

1. Speaking. Can you talk about your daily routine? You will also need to talk about at 2 school subjects, saying if you are strong or weak in that subject and how you find it. Minimum standard: that all of what you say would be understood by a French person.

2. Listening. Can you listen to and understand a passage of French about a school timetable? You will be given a timetable and you will need to choose what suject is on at a ceratin day and a certain time. Minimum Standard - 7 correctly identified.

3. Listening. Can you listen to and understand someone’s travelling details? You will listen to 10 statements. You are to indicate (choosing the appropriate pictures) where a person goes and how he/she gets there. Minimum standard: 7 correctly identified. \

4. Reading. Can you read and understand a passage of French about daily routine, school and going places? You will need to read a passage of French and answer in English the questions that follow. Minimum standard: 7 out of 10 questions answered correctly.

5. Writing. Can you write about your daily routine? Using times in French and the new verbs on page 8, (+linking words), write at least 8 sentences about what you usually do each day. Minimum standard. : 6 correct sentences.

6. Writing. Can you write about 2 subjects you study. Describe in detail how you feel about them, who the teacher is and at what time you have that class. Minimum standard - everything in understandable French.

7. Writing. Can you write about what forms of transport people use to go places? You will be given a series of pictures about which you are to write a full sentence in French. Minimum standard: 4 sentences in accurate French.

8. Culture. Can you explain key poontd about the transport system in Paris? - métro / RER / bus-RATP / les gares (train stations) / les titres de transport / etc.
