Learning Intentions - Unité 2 - "Quel temps de chien!"
1. Can you speak about what you do at camp during a weekend including activities, the weather and what you wear. Minimum standard: the French you use is understandable and clear.
2. Can you listen to and identify items of clothing and prices? You will listen to the price of 5 items of clothing. For each one, you are to write down the price, in numbers, and choose from a list the equivalent word in English for each item. Minimum standard: at least 4 items correctly identified.
3. Reading. Can you read and understand a passage of French about a school trip to a camp and what people do and wear? You will need to read a passage of French and answer in English the questions that follow. Minimum standard: 7 out of 10 questions answered correctly.
4. Reading. Can you read and understand sentences in French. You will be given a list of words in French and you are to choose the equivalent expression in English. Minimum standard: 7 words correct.
5. Can you make up a shopping list in French? You will be given pictures of 5 items of clothing and you are to write them down in French. Minimum standard: 4 accurate items.
6. Can you complete a dialogue in French? You will need to write about shopping and the weather. There will be 5 short sentences in English for which you are to give equivalent expressions in French. Minimum standard: at least 3 correct sentences in French.
7. Writing. Can you write about things you do at a school camp, activities, things you do at different periods of the day, etc.? You will need to write a short postcard to a friend telling him/her what about a particularly interesting and busy day/weekend at camp. Minimum stand: that most of what you write is in understandable and accurate French.
8. Can you write 5 rules that Monsieur Lavache would LOVE to enforce at his camp - Camping Rigolo. Use “il faut...”, “il est interdit de..” , etc.
9. Quartiers de Paris. Can you mention things you would see in the following districts of Paris - Le Quartier Latin, Montmartre, île de Cité.
