Wheeler Community,

It is hard to believe that this is already the last Growler Newsletter for 2025. Next Friday, December 19th, concludes our first semester and second quarter. Our next Growler will be sent out on Friday, January 9th.

As we work hard to complete everything before winter break and wind down the second quarter of school, we also celebrate all the FANTASTIC things our students have already accomplished this year. We have developed new friendships, learned to regulate our emotions, and grown in our academic skills. Our theme this year is Building Bright Futures and we see that day in and day out.

On behalf of the Wheeler staff, we hope you have a safe winter break. Students will not be in session from December 22 through January 5th. In addition, our office staff will also be out for a portion of winter break to enjoy time with their families. I have encouraged teachers and staff to put on auto-reply on emails; please reach out to me if there is something time sensitive you need addressed

We look forward to welcoming students back on Tuesday, January 6th! See you in January!

Movie Day Reward on Monday!

As part of NWEA MAP Growth Celebrations, we will host school movie day on Monday, December 15th. Students earned a PJ day for their work on school wide expectations & earning Wildcat WOWS!

Movies: Kg - Snow Buddies 1st & 2nd -The Grinch 3rd-5th- Elf

All movies will stream through Swank- our MPS platform.

We will be watching this movie as a class with adult supervision, and we are happy that students have earned this class experience!

If you are comfortable with your student watching this movie, you do not need to reach out to us.

You will be asked to share your First & Last Name and the reason for your visit. You will only be allowed access into the office with our new vestibule.
Please have your ID ready to share with office staff for verification
Someone else picking up? Please call the office to notify and that adult will have to show ID to confirm who we are releasing student to.
