Wheeler Community,
Thank you to all of the community members who were part of last night's amazing PTA Trunk or Treat event! We had an amazing turn out. We are looking forward to our fall parties this afternoon! For those of you going out to Trick or Treat this evening, have a great time and be safe!
Reminder: please send your child with weather appropriate clothing. Colder weather has arrived, and we do not want students to become sick and absent from school. Thank you for your support!

Dear Wheeler Families,
We understand that times of uncertainty can be stressful, especially when it comes to meeting basic needs. If your family is currently experiencing difficulty accessing food due to recent changes in benefits or other circumstances, please know that support is available.
We've compiled a list of local food pantries and meal services ready to help ensure every family has the food they need. Link To the Document Of Food Resources
While it may seem necessary to use funds typically set aside for rent or mortgage payments to buy food, we strongly encourage you to avoid doing so whenever possible. Food pantries and community meal services are readily available to help with immediate food needs. Resources for rent and mortgage assistance are much more limited, and utilizing food resources now can help prevent future housing difficulties and allow you to keep your budget balanced.
Our school social workers are here to connect you with additional support and guidance. Please don't hesitate to reach out if we can help in any way:

Wheeler will hold its annual Veterans Day all school Ceremony on November 11th at 8:45 at the flagpole in front of the building.
We are happy to welcome ALL Veterans in your life: family member, friends, neighbors to be honored and part of our ceremony.
If you are new to our community, we run a slideshow of Veterans in our life that runs on the TV in the Front Hallway. Want to add a family member or loved one? Send Mrs. Kochsmeier (kmkochsmeier@mpsomaha.org) a photo, name, and highest rank and she will add that Veteran to our slideshow!
