Reporting Schedule 2025/2026
Transfer Goals and Standards
In each reporting cycle, teachers cover some or all of their subject's Transfer Goals.
Knowledge and Skills statements for each Transfer Goal describe what students must know and what they must be able to do in order to attain this goal.
Below you will find an outline of the Transfer Goals and the associated knowledge and skills that have been assessed in this reporting cycle.
This information is to be used alongside the student's report, that is issued in iSAMs. It gives you insight into the knowledge that students have gained, and the specific skills that students have acquired.
Click the tile below that corresponds to your child's year group.
Attainment Across the School
Attainment is based on formative and summative assessment tasks over the assessment period.
Year 1 to Year 9 students will be assessed on the knowledge and skills under the Transfer Goals.
Year 10 to Year 13 students will be assessed on the Assessment Objectives as set out by the exam syllabus documents.
The feedback on your child's report should be made drawn from a range of formative and summative assessment. This means teachers will test students in the traditional way to get grades and percentages (summative) but they will also assess through more ongoing strategies such as observation, conversation and asking students to redraft or redo (formative). Both are important and should lead to information that is both reliable and valid.
Attitude to Learning
It is important to look at both attainment and attitude to learning. They are often linked.
Behaviour
Organisation
Communication
Independent Learning
EXCELLENT
GOOD
SOME CONCERN
SERIOUS CONCERN
When looking at attitude to learning we have moved away from an old fashioned "effort" grade and broken it down into four more meaningful areas. This is a great discussion point in Parent Teacher conferences.
Please read the Attitude to Learning descriptors below to have a clearer idea of what constitutes as Excellent, Good, Some Concern or Serious Concern.
Strategic Shorts - Information Videos
You can watch the video below to gain a better understanding of our approach to assessment and reporting in school. We are currently in the last transition phase. This term we have introduced the Transfer Goals for Year 1 to Year 10 that we will be assessing students on. Teachers will assess students knowledge and skills under the Transfer Goals that have been covered in the assessment period.
