Sec 3s cadets stepped up today, leading two lessons at once! One group guided Sec 2s & Sec 1s, then handed over the reins as Sec 2s trained their juniors using the GOTC card game. 🃏 Meanwhile, another group ran an engaging lesson with Drama Club students, highlighting the 6 pillars of Total Defence. 🎬

On February 14th, Our Sec 3 NPCC cadets, along with the National Education Committee and other Hillgrove Uniformed groups, joined forces to perform a Total Defence skit showcasing both Military and Civil Defence aspects. The presentation took place in front of the entire school community.

The TDD Bronze and Silver Badgework took place on February 17th, with participation from both Sec 1 and Sec 2 cadets. The Sec 2 cadets showed great proficiency in leading the activity, instructing the Sec 1 cadets on how to play the GOTC Card game. Furthermore, the Sec 2 cadets proceeded to create a storyboard that pertained to Total Defence.

On 17th Feb 2023, TDD Silver Project undertaken by Sec 2 cadets this year showcases their creative talent and commitment to Total Defence , the cadets took on the role of educators, teaching the Sec 1s how to play the Guardian of the City Trading Card Game (GOTC2). To promote reflection and foster a collaborative environment, they also shared their experiences and insights on managing the lesson and connecting with the Sec 1 cadets with their padlet.

"I have learnt that im capable of teaching the younger ones to play GOTC easily, and got to know them better while teaching them during the session, i also think this improved my skills to socialize with younger people then me and this would help if in the future i had a co-worker that was younger than me and that i have to teach them something."  - Farhan S2-1

"I have learnt more about the understanding of total defence while explaining to my sec 1 partner about the card game. I have also learnt to socialize with my juniors better.
