Objective
This project is to raise the awareness of possible types of scams that are currently in trend (mainly online shopping, phone scams) and to spread the information on the available scamalert.sg website, as well as the Anti-scam Helpline (what students can do should they or people around them encounter scams)
WHY THIS PROJECT (cyBER-SCAMS) ?
> Nowadays, due to technological advancements, scams are now getting more common and sophisticated than in the past. We chose this project to educate our younger generations such as students to be more conscious of online threats such as cyber-scams.
WHAT did we do ?
1. PUBLICIZING OUR CSSP BOOTH DURING MORNING ASSEMBLY
> To make an announcement about our CSSP booth setup to attract students to come to our booth during their recess.
2. CSSP BOOTH SETUP IN THE CANTEEN
> To discuss and identify the types of scams that we want to raise awareness among the Hillgrovians
3. INTERVIEWING OUR SCHOOLMATES / SCHOOL STAFF / CANTEEN VENDORS
> To see if they are aware of the threats of cyber-scams and to see how much they know about it.

WHEN ?
> The video on the interview was published on 22 August 2019 ( refer to our anti-scam homepage for the video)
> The CSSP booth announcement and the CSSP booth setup were done on the 30 August 2019
How Project carried out ?
1. We went around the school to interview some of our schoolmates / staff / canteen vendors to see how much they know about scams and we recorded their interview.Then, we published the video on YouTube.
2. All of us took part in preparing the noticeboard with info sheets, posters from the Bukit Batok NPC, a QR code for our website and the anti-scam hotline.
3. Created a survey for the students to fill up after visiting our booth to gain feedbacks.
4. Our game ICs created the games/quiz for the booth and we handed out prizes to those who were able to answer the questions correctly.
5. We prepared the script for the announcement to publicize our booth during the morning assembly.
6. During the booth session, some of us went around the canteen to invite people to come to our booth and to hand out posters about cyber-scam.
7. We collected all the responses from the survey and we put some of their feedbacks on our website.
