2022 Dragonboat ENRICHMENT TRAINING

We are thrilled to share the exciting experience of our Sec 1 cadets as they participated in their first outdoor adventure program, the Dragonboat Course, on October 14th, 2022. The course, held at the prestigious Singapore Dragonboat Association, provided our cadets with an opportunity to develop essential skills in resilience and teamwork, preparing them to become future leaders within the NPCC unit.

Throughout the course, our cadets were challenged both physically and mentally, as they learned the art of paddling together in unison and navigating the waters as a team. The Dragonboat Course served as a platform for our cadets to understand the importance of effective communication, coordination, and trust among team members.

By engaging in this outdoor adventure, our Sec 1 cadets gained valuable experiences that will shape their leadership abilities and instill a strong sense of camaraderie within the NPCC unit. We are immensely proud of their dedication and determination demonstrated throughout the Dragonboat Course.

As they continue to progress through their NPCC journey, we are confident that the skills and lessons acquired from this outdoor adventure program will serve as a solid foundation for their future endeavors. Congratulations to our Sec 1 cadets on successfully completing the Dragonboat Course and embracing the challenges of teamwork and resilience

On March 16, 2022, the Sec 2 cadets embarked on a Flipped Lesson Standard First Aid + CPR + AED Course, conducted by the esteemed Singapore First Aid Training Centre. This was the first time our cadets had the opportunity to participate in such a comprehensive training program. With enthusiasm and eagerness to learn, all Sec 2 cadets, alongside their scout counterparts, delved into the course, acquiring essential life-saving knowledge while enjoying the process.

The Flipped Lesson format allowed our cadets to actively engage in hands-on practical sessions, reinforcing their understanding of first aid techniques, CPR, and the proper use of an Automated External Defibrillator (AED). What are your tips for NPCC Shooting practices?

For Sec 3s and 2s

Tips for shooting:

When you are given the command to fire, try to calm your self down by breathing in and out slowly(I was singing to calm myself down), also when you are ready to fire, breath slowly until you feel like your lungs have no more oxygen then hold your breath and aim.....fire.

when you are pressing the trigger press slowly ( the instructors will tell you when you are at there)

Also the most IMPORTANT Rules you MUST obey are

•Treat all revolvers as though they are loaded

•Never point a firearm at anyone or anything unless you are about to shoot the target.

•Fingers off the trigger guard unless you are about to shoot the target.

 Good luck for your Shooting!!☺
