On 9th May 2025, Hillgrove NPCC celebrated NPCC Day with pride as we recognised the outstanding achievements of our cadets and the unit. It was a momentous occasion that reflected the hard work, dedication, and spirit of service that define our cadet family. 🫡

On 16th April, during Hillgrove’s annual Speech Day, our NPCC unit proudly witnessed several of our cadets being recognised for their outstanding achievements.

Two of our fine cadets, SSGT Rebecca and SSGT Farhan, were each awarded the prestigious Colours Award (Individuals) — a testament to their dedication, discipline, and leadership in NPCC. Leading the unit with pride, SSGT Rebecca also received the Team Colours Award, in recognition of our unit’s Distinction in UOPA 2024.

Adding to the celebration, our senior cadet instructors, SI Bryce and SI Crystal, were honoured with the All Round Excellence Award and the Model Hillgrovian Award respectively. These awards reflect their commitment not only to NPCC, but also to the wider school community.

We are incredibly proud of our NPCC cadets for achieving the highest accolades in their respective fields. Their hard work, resilience, and service continue to inspire the unit and set the standard for future generations of cadets. 💙💪

We are excited to share the incredible experience of 7 Sec 3 NPCC Cadets who embarked on a Service Learning Trip to Vietnam on November 3rd, 2019. This immersive program offered our cadets invaluable opportunities to engage in Values-In-Action, apply their knowledge from National Education, and gain a deeper understanding of other cultures.

During the trip, the cadets had the privilege of visiting a local school where they actively contributed to building structures and imparting English lessons to young children. They also had the chance to engage in fun-filled games, fostering a spirit of camaraderie and cultural exchange.

In addition to their involvement in the school, the cadets had the opportunity to explore the vibrant town of Ho Chi Minh, immersing themselves in the beauty and wonders of the city. This experience allowed them to develop a broader perspective, enhancing their global awareness and cross-cultural sensitivities.

The Service Learning Trip to Vietnam proved to be a transformative experience for our Sec 3 NPCC Cadets. It not only enabled them to make a positive impact through their service but also enriched their understanding of different cultures and the importance of community engagement. We commend their dedication and enthusiasm throughout the trip, as they embraced new experiences and created lasting memories.

We are proud of our cadets for embodying the values of NPCC and actively contributing to the global community. Their participation in this Service Learning Trip exemplifies the commitment to holistic development and the cultivation of compassion and empathy within our unit.

Our HGNP Cadet SGT (NPCC) Wong Jun Keat was selected to fly overseas to Hong Kong. Through this trip, Jun Keat has learnt various ways of how the Hong Kong Police Force handle difficult situations. It has definitely been a wonderful trip for him and we cannot wait to hear what he has to share!
