Tree of stars

On 20 September 2016, the School Advisory Committee (SAC) and our school leaders completed the first Kind Act by making a joint pledge towards the Tree of Stars. In exchange for their pledge, they received 3D folded stars which were used to fill recycled bottles.

Next, the SAC members and our school leaders placed the bottles on the branches of our Tree of Stars. This brief ceremony marked the launch of our 85 Kind Acts initiative and a photograph of the event was captured and placed in a star-shaped frame. The frame was suspended on the Tree of Stars and as the school completes more Kind Acts, more frames will be placed.

As Winston Churchill once said, “we make a living by what we get, but we make a life by what we give.” The SAC and our school leaders have exemplified the spirit of giving back to the community. Together, we are united in our commitment to celebrate with a heart of kindness.
