DEAR to support NLB’s ‘Read for Books’-Charity Book Drive

Xingnan Primary School has taken part in the ‘Read for Books’ which is a charity book drive aimed by National Library Board (NLB) as the nation is celebrating and sharing the joy of reading. In this month of National Reading Movement, for every 10 pupils who read for 15 minutes, a book will be donated to identified charities or beneficiaries. NLB will be raising books for the residents of Voluntary Children’s Homes as well as needy children and youths. The books will be carefully selected for donation and it has aimed to raise 4,000 books in 2017. Xingnan Primary School (XNPS) is proud to be part of this Kindness Act as the whole school has embarked on a ‘Drop Everything And Read’ (DEAR) Programme to ensure that it can do its part for the children in the Homes.
