Tea appreciation for Environmental Heros

Title: Tea and appreciation session for our Environmental Heroes.

The Primary 5 teachers had hosted a tea session to a group of 11 cleaners (from Chua Chu Kang Town Council, Nanyang branch) who have been contributing and keeping our environment clean and green. They were indulged with a light tea and a dance performances by the pupils of Class 5E. These unsung heroes were chosen because most students are not aware of their unsung deeds. We may often take the cleanliness for granted. It is not possible without their dedication that our estates are kept clean and safe. This interaction session also serves as an openers for the pupils that there are people in the community who in some ways or another serving our community.

These are the cleaners who have demonstrated pride and commitment in their work by keeping the common areas in the community like our hawker centres, void deck spaces, playground and corridor.

In line with giving back, the Primary 5 teachers had personally decorated the mugs which were presented to these Environmental Heroes, as a form of appreciation and affirmation of their good deed to our community. For every mugs presented the staff of Xingnan Primary had pledged their donation. The money collected will go to the identified beneficiaries.
