Spring 1 - Creating Media (Digital Photography)
Spring 1 - Creating Media (Digital Photography)
We learnt the difference between photographs and illustrations, both in how they look and how they were created. We learnt that there are a range of devices which capture photos. We then used the ipads to take pictures of the following items: a building, a person, an action shot, a selfie and a close-up object.
We learnt the correct steps to take a good photo. We can capture photos in both portrait and landscape format. We predicted whether the photographs looked better in portrait or landscape format and then tested this.
We looked at the concept that a photograph is composed by a photographer. In this lesson, we discovered what constitutes good photography composition and put this into practice by composing and capturing high-quality photos of our own.
We watched a 30-minute assembly where we learnt about how we can stay safe, responsible and wise in an increasingly digital world, with tips and advice from some of the biggest personalities on the web.
Swan Class decided on some safe internet rules that we can all use so we can use the internet in a safe and healthy manner. Once we all decided on the rules, we then signed the rules as a whole class.
