Navigating simple tools on the Interactive Whiteboard

We have been using the interactive whiteboard pen to create pictures on Active Inspire. We used various editing tools such as paint brush, colour changer, blur effect and stickers to modify our creations.

Technology around us

We have been talking about the purpose of the class telephone. We called different classes using the keypad to dial extensions. We enjoyed hearing different voices through the phone and engaged in some friendly converstions.

Technology through play

We engaged in using technology for different purposes in our play. In the home corner, we recognised the toaster and the kettle as being electrical equitpment and role played what they are used for.

Technology in our play

We used old computers in our role play. We set up a doctors office so children engaged in using the old computer to write emails, write reports and look at X-rays.

Recording on an iPad

We recognised that an ipad can be used to record information through pictures and videos. We enjoyed exploring different angles on the ipad and took pictures and videos of our friends around the classroom.

Technology for a purpose

During a cooking activity, we observed how the oven worked. We wondered how the oven worked, why heat was coming out and how our food changed after being in the oven.
