This half term we are learning about media, especially pictures. We have had great fun taking pictures in different ways and of different things and learning how to cause different effects.
We decided which pictures are photos and which pictures are illustrations.
We had great fun sorting things into items that are able to take pictures and items that are not able to take pictures.
We know that we can only take pictures of people if they give us permission. If they ask us to delete the picture, we must do so immediately. This is very important because it may upset people.
We have learnt about how to take the best photos. We must make sure that we stand still, hold the device straight, think about the light, make sure that the object/ person is in the middle and not cut off.
It was great fun experimenting to see which objects are best taken from a distance and which are best taken close up.
We have been learning about taking landscape or portrait photos. Then we experimented to see which objects are better in landscape or portrait mode.
Today was Internet Safety Day. We discussed how we stay safe online - what information we can share, how we should behave and what we can do if we are upset. Then we created a whole class agreement about how we can keep safe when using the internet.
