Recycling Club

If you have an interest in the environment and want to help, Recycling club would be perfect for you. This club mainly focuses on minimizing the negative impact Medina High School has on the environment, and keeping our school clean. Lacie Haffner, president of recycling club says, “This club is a good way to get involved in the school, while also helping the environment.” Not to mention this club also counts for good volunteering hours if you sign in at each meeting.

Recycling club meets every week on Monday. The meetings start at 2:30 and usually last 45 minutes to an hour. The members meet in Mrs. Meves' room and sign in before deciding on who is going to the different sections of the school. Then  they go to the janitor's room to get the bins and go to their different parts of the school to start collecting. After they have collected the recycling from all the rooms they bring the bins to the recycling dumpster in the senior parking lot. After they are done with all the sections, they meet back in Mrs. Meves' room before leaving.

Recycling is a great way to help keep the school clean while also helping the environment. Recycling club is also a great way to make new friends while getting involved in the school community. If you want to make a difference in the school and the community you should consider joining a Recycling club.
