Key Club

Looking to join a club at Medina High School? Are you interested in volunteering? Key Club is a volunteer service organization that meets bi-monthly to get involved around Medina County. Members of the club gather either before or after school once every two Wednesdays to bring awareness to prevalent issues in the community. Club advisors have a certain number of members sign up for additional service opportunities to volunteer on their own time. These volunteer projects cover a wide variety of issues. 4-year senior member, Lucinda Posner, says one of her favorites was “when we made period packs for middle school girls.”

While it can be seen that Key Club does important hard work around Medina, it also requires “pretty low commitment,” according to Lucinda. The club only meets twice a month and offers two meeting times a day to accommodate its many members’ busy schedules. Students in grades nine through twelve love Key Club and its various community service opportunities. Although meetings have already started for the year, you can join the club at any time! Just talk to Mr. Sako, the club advisor, whenever you want to get started volunteering.

Members of the Medina Kiwanis Club and various Key Club members participated in caroling at different restaurants to raise money for children in need within Medina. This takes place each year, and this is the main way the Kiwanis Club fundraises for the project.
