Central idea: Maintaining peace and resolving conflict can help humans to live harmoniously.
In maths, we have been recapping coordinates, and we have also learnt about reflection and translation. We will now be moving on to negative numbers - counting through 0, comparing and ordering negative numbers and finding the difference.
In our Inquiry lessons, we have been thinking about conflict and the fact that there are many different types of conflict. The children have also explored the outbreak of WWI, thinking about the countries that made up the Central Powers and the Triple Entente. Over the coming weeks, we will be researching the factors which contributed to the start of the war, and the impact that this had on many European countries.
It was lovely to have some of our fathers and grandfathers in school this week, and the trenches which they helped the children to make were amazing! We thank you for your time and continued support.
