Over the last two weeks, the children have completed their year 2 assessments in reading and maths. They have done an amazing job and we are so proud of all their hard work!
Thank you to those who were able to come and support the children on Sports Day. They had a wonderful morning competing for their houses.
The children were very excited to be back and look at their seeds to see whether they had germinated yet. Over the last week, they have been watering them and watching their seed germinating and recording this in their plant diary.
In inquiry, we have delved into our first line of inquiry where the children discussed what they could see, what they thought and what they were wondering after watching a video based on the 17 Sustainable Development Goals. The discussion highlighted how passionate and eager they are to help save our planet. After that, the children used the atlases to label the continents and oceans followed by understanding climate zones and world habitats. We ended the week with a DT project where the children created a plan and made their very own globe, which they will later label with the continents and oceans.
