Central idea: People have a responsibility to understand how to look after living things (plants)
This week we have been diving deeper into our central idea. We had a fantastic opportunity with Mr Townsend where we went on a tree walk and we learnt about evergreen and deciduous trees. We also went around and identified hawthorn, oak and field maple leaves. We have since labelled the parts of a plant and learnt about what each part does for the plant.
In maths, we are now working to 100. We are learning to partition numbers to 100 into tens and ones and we will be placing them on a number line.
Our core text currently is Lola Plants a Garden, this is a fantastic book that has given us so many ideas about plants, gardening and how to look after our wonderful natural world!
