6Aspen  Learning Update

Central idea: Architecture as a form of expression reflects culture and history.

Over the last few weeks, we have been focusing on architecture throughout history. This week, we began by exploring the change in architecture of British homes from the Tudor era until now, considering the significant differences which made each architectural design unique to its period. Then, linked to our class text, we considered the architecture of cathedrals and the features that make these buildings so magnificent, writing a descriptive paragraph - we then included these in our Floodland narratives which we have been writing.

In maths, we have been continuing our focus on fractions, recapping and embedding how to add and subtract fractions, both proper and mixed. We've also upped the ante in our Christmas performance song rehearsal; we look forward to performing this to you all next week.
