1Willow     Learning Update

Central idea: Celebrations can enhance the way we see the world. 

The past 2 weeks the children have been incredibly busy with their line of inquiry 2 and have been learning about how different celebrations make us feel. To do this the children began planning and preparing a party for Kipper. We previously read Kippers birthday as a class  and decided to invite him to our very own party that we planned. We carefully designed and decorated cakes in groups and made party decorations, party hats and birthday cards for Kipper. Alongside our inquiry learning in maths we have been learning about addition and subtraction by using ten frames, part whole models and fact families. 

Please remember to label all of your child's belongings and make sure that they are bringing a coat to school in this very cold weather!
