Central idea: Cultural identity could be expressed through creativity

We have been working really hard within inquiry this term and have researched and created a non-chronological report about festivals around the world. We are about to start our final line of inquiry all about Christmas, which the children are looking forward to this over the next two weeks.

In reading, we have continued reading 'Some kind of happiness' and enjoying Finley's adventure into these enchanted woods and can't wait to see what happens next. Maths we have finished our next topic of area and have started multiplication, which the children are enjoying with the songs we have been learning to help learn our times tables.

It is starting to feel very Christmassy with us practising our recorders for the Christmas concert and practising our Christmas songs, which we are enjoying learning and can't wait to perform over the next two weeks.

Please could you remind the children to bring in their recorders on Monday, so we can continue practising before the concert on Thursday evening.
