Central idea: Technology constantly evolves to progress human societies.

This week, we have been considering how technology has evolved by focusing on inventions from Ancient China (paper, gunpowder). By exploring these in detail, we were able to appreciate how these inventions, even though thousands of years old, have stood the test of time and have enabled multiple societies to progress. Just think, without paper, we wouldn't have books, and without gunpowder, we wouldn't have our firework nights! If it weren't for these inventions, and others, our society would not be what it is today! Moving into next week, we will use this knowledge to consider societies of the present and whether they are all alike regarding technology use and evolution.
