Central idea: The weather can affect how people live.

We have had a brilliant start to the term! The children have settled in amazingly and have been welcoming to the new members of staff in our class. We have started our first line of inquiry 'An inquiry into the different types of weather' which the children have enjoyed sharing their knowledge and demonstrating this in their weather diary.

The children have learnt about seasonal food, how to take care of the environment and have been reading about climate change campaigner, Greta Thunberg. They have been excellent thinkers in expanding their knowledge and understanding of the impact we have on the environment.

In Maths we have begun place value to 20 and the children have worked incredibly hard to challenge and push themselves with their number skills.

A brilliant start to the term! Spruce class, you should be proud!
