Principal's Message

Firstly, I can't wait to see you all at the Christmas Fair tomorrow! A lot of work has gone into this by the PTA and please know that every penny made will make a huge difference to supporting children at Marden Primary Academy to thrive. I am looking forward to seeing the various stalls, sharing with you how much we have made but mostly... I'm looking forward to seeing Santa!

On the last three days of Term 1 we had Challenge Partners, an external review of our Academy. I am proud to share with you the report and it really demonstrates how much progress we have made since 2019. Please use the link here: Challenge Partners or alternatively search for it on our website.

In the note of progress since 2019 we have updated our results page on the website. We have made tremendous progress last year and substantial improvements across the curriculum since 2019. Although the DFE will not be publishing these results, I thought it was valuable to share these with you as they better reflect the outcomes of Marden. Again you can find these on the website or use this link: Results

This week had Road Safety talks in Year 3/4 and Year 6 had a heart dissection workshop led by our LAT partner school, Mascalls. Please do take a look at the various tabs to see what other exciting things are happening daily at Marden Primary Academy!

Academy Uniform

All pupils should now be in Winter uniform and not wearing shorts or summer dresses to school.

Winter uniform is expected to be worn from Autumn Term 2 through to the end of Spring Term 4.

Summer uniform can be worn from the start of the Summer Term 5 through to the half term of Autumn Term 1.

Parents can choose to switch to the winter uniform earlier than October if the weather is cold.

Autumn 2022 Parents' Evening

We would like to invite parents/carers to attend our Autumn 2022 Parents’ Evening which is being held on Wednesday 14th December between the hours of 1.30-6.00pm.

Due to the number of children in 5Aspen, there will also be appointments available to year 5 parents on Tuesday 13th December between the hours of 4.30-6.00pm.

All appointments will be held face-to-face in the main hall and can be booked via the MCAS app.

Please may we remind all parents that dogs are not permitted onto the school site or grounds. This includes the main reception/office and dogs being carried in arms or inside jackets.

We have a number of children who find the presence of dogs frightening and the academy's priority is the safeguarding of its children and staff.

Please refer to our Dogs on School Grounds Policy

We thank you in advance for your cooperation in this matter.

Now available in 75 languages, it has more than a billion active users worldwide (as of spring 2022) and is most popular with the under-16 age bracket. In fact, a 2022 Ofcom report found TikTok to be the most-used social media platform for posting content, particularly among young people aged 12 to 17.
