3/4Cedar Learning Update

Central idea: Literature can drive our appreciation of culture

We have continued our planned journey across Europe. We walked through the streets of European cities and stood in front of the famous building on Google Earth to inspire our diary entries. We wrote a long diary entry full of adjectives to describe the things we were seeing and emotive language to describe how we felt as we travelled.

In maths the year 3 children have continued with addition and subtraction, using this knowledge to solve a range of problems and use the inverse operation to check answers.

The year 4 children completed their unit of learning on finding area by counting squares. We then began our new unit of learning, multiplication and division.

In guided reading, we have continued to follow Tom on his adventure across Europe and we have now seen him enter into the Middle East. We learned about Baalbek and the ancient city of Petra.
