1Spruce Learning Update

Central idea: Celebrations can enhance the way we see the world.

The children in Spruce class have worked so hard this week! In maths, we have been subtracting using a number line and then writing the calculations in their books. In phonics, we have been reading and writing words with alternative spellings for the /er/ phoneme.

Our inquiry this week has been focused on birthdays. We've talked about our experiences of birthdays and planned a party for Kipper. The Great Marden Bake Off has been in full swing with the children designing, baking, decorating and tasting birthday cakes.
