It's important to educate people about surface water runoff and flooding because they can affect surrounding water systems. Pesticides, herbicides, sediments, and other pollutants can enter a water system from runoff from crops and then flow to ditches or surrounding water bodies. This can lead to problems with water quality and can affect the plants and animals as well.

This will help them understand what is being done at the SAP to help with surface runoff and flooding. The goal is to have a simple flyer that can quickly be read with enough information to get straight to the point. If more students are interested in sustainability, the environment, planning, and other similar interests, this flyer can guide them to how they can get more involved.
