British portrait artist Brian Scott creates these incredible colored pencil close-ups. It is interesting to note that he is a self-taught artist. Students who love drawing eyes will really engage with his art. They way he crops his image down creates a striking composition of an often tender moment. He often uses Faber Castell Polychrome pencils.
Students will look at the work of Brian Scott as inspiration for an up close portrait in graphite.
