Step 1: Review this 1 Pnt Perspective Letters as a reference. Complete this 1 pnt perspective practice sheet and turn it in for a grade.

Step 2: Get Inspired for your lettering. Choose a font style for your name on your portfolio. Check out these two programs:
Step 3: Draw your name (at least your first name and last initial) as the focal point of your portfolio! Draw it the length of your portfolio and at least 3 in wide! You may draw it larger if you like. Outline it in sharpie when you are done.
Step 4: Choose Sharpie or Watercolor as your background behind your name

Get inspired by Sam Cox the cartoonist for your background space- the area behind your name.

Step 6: Make a list of 15 things in your sketchbook that you would want to draw in the background space of your portfolio. Take a photo of the list and submit it in google classroom for the assignment called: Portfolio Brainstorm
Step 7: Draw at least 10 of the items on your poster that you've been given in class in pencil. Only one side of your portfolio needs to have a design on it. You can leave the back blank but do put your full name in the bottom right hand corner in sharpie in large letters on the blank side in legible lettering.
Step 8: Use a sharpie marker and trace all of your designs using a variety of line thickness. Any empty space in between images needs to be filled with line or pattern.
Step 9: If you choose, you may color in your name if time permits, but this is not mandatory. You will be assessed on the following:

Step 5:
If you Chose Watercolor:
In your sketchbook practice the 7 techniques illustrated in this watercolor handout and submit a photo of your practicing to google classroom for the assignment called: Watercolor Practice
Step 6: Paint your background negative space behind your name using 1 or two techniques you practiced in your sketchbook.
Step 7: Add any sort of details you would like over the watercolor in ink or sharpie to finish out your design.
Step 8: If you choose, you may color in your name if time permits, but this is not mandatory. You will be assessed on the following:
