Step 1:
Students will create a non objective artwork that focuses on the elements and principles of design and learn how to blend values using oil pastel.
Step 3:
Students will draw 4 compositional sketches utilizing the following:
Balance
Large Shapes
Variety of Line
Step 4:
Students will choose one of their compositions as their final and begin sketching their composition on paper.
Step 5:
Students will practice blending 2 and 3 colors using oil pastels.
Step 6:
Students will begin adding color to their final compositions.
It's important to keep in mind that black should not be used until the end as it blends into other colors and takes over.
