Step 1:
Students will look at the work of Ben Heine as inspiration for a surrealist takeover perspective project.
Students will create a final drawing in two point perspective. One part of it will be in any color media of the students choice and the other will be in any black and white media of their choice.
The black and white = real life observation
The color= representation of surrealism.
Step 2:
Students will look at Perspective Vocabulary and take notes
Step 3:
Students will practice one point perspective drawing and create a drawing of a city including the following:
6 buildings with different heights
Windows
Doors
Step 4:
Students will practice two point perspective drawing and create a drawing of a city including the following:
6 buildings of different heights
Windows
Doors
Step 5:
Go outside to begin drawing a part of the Quad in two point perspective
Step 6:
Glue a piece of torn paper about the size of your fist in the middle of your drawing.
Step 7:
This new paper will be the area where you recreate the quad into a surrealist color composition using colored pencil.
Step 8:
Finish your drawn quad in black and white value and the surrealist part in color.
