Through the Young Reporter Programme, our Year 10 students at Lordswood Boys' Publishing House have had an exceptional opportunity to dive into the world of journalism in partnership with the Halesowen News. This collaboration has given students hands-on experience in a bustling newsroom, from brainstorming ideas with editors to meeting tight publication deadlines—an invaluable introduction to the fast-paced world of professional reporting.
Congratulations to RJ, Ayaan, and Thomas for their impressive contributions! These young reporters have explored a diverse range of topics, covering current affairs, the excitement of Ice Hockey, the discipline of Martial Arts, and a delightful review of the Birmingham Christmas markets. Notably, Thomas's article on Ice Hockey caught additional attention, being featured on the Dudley News website!
This experience has not only strengthened their writing and research skills but also offered a unique glimpse into the world of publishing, setting a solid foundation for any future endeavors in media. Well done to these budding journalists for their hard work and commitment!

Mockvember is Coming Up! 📅
Mock exams will run from Monday, 18th November to Friday, 29th November. Your sons should have shared their revision resources from teachers—please encourage them to use these as they prepare for exams.
Your support at home will hugely impact their revision and then their grades. Please encourage them to take well-being breaks but keep distractions, especially phones, out of reach while revising. These mock results are crucial for post-Year 11 applications. Intervention sessions will continue until Friday 15th November, until exams start.
Lots of incentives and rewards that they can earn have been shared with them so they try their very best.
Thank you for all your support!
Intervention will continue for Year 11 until the mock exams.
