Uniform Standards & A Powerful Start to the Final Half Term ย
Welcome Back! ๐
Welcome back to the final half term of the year! ๐ We hope you had a restful break and are returning refreshed, energised, and ready to make the most of the weeks ahead. This is a crucial time, the last chapter of the school year, and a great opportunity to finish strong. Whether thatโs through continued hard work in lessons, contributing positively to school life, or being a role model to others, now is the time to shine ๐ช.
We want to start with a huge thank you and well done to everyone for your support in upholding our school uniform standards as we return ๐. Itโs been brilliant to see students looking smart, confident, and ready to learn. Walking around school this week, weโve seen so many of you taking real pride in your appearance. Uniform isnโt just about looking neat, itโs a symbol of your commitment to our school community and helps maintain a calm, focused learning environment ๐.
As we continue our drive on uniform standards, we will be maintaining high expectations. Uniform reflects unity, professionalism, and pride, all things that make our school special. We know that the vast majority of you consistently meet those expectations, and weโre grateful for your efforts โค๏ธ.ย
For anyone unsure about specific items, weโve included a clear reminder below of what is and isnโt acceptable school uniform. Please take a moment to review it so weโre all aligned .
Letโs keep setting the standard and working together to make our school the best it can be ๐ซ. Weโre proud of you, and weโre excited for a fantastic final few weeks of the year.
Letโs make it count โ letโs finish strong! โจ

The final half term of the year reintroduces the school virtues of self- discipline and confidence, whilst also reviewing the previous virtues of perseverance, compassion and resilience.
Each half term, small groups of students are provided with an opportunity to speak directly to members of the Personal Development team, on a one to one basis, to discuss their understanding of the virtues, their significance and how important they are to their own character development.
ย ย
A student in year 7 stated, "If we are kind and tolerant, everyone will be happier and more successful"
A year 8 student explained how he always tries to help year 7's because he remembers how hard it was for him to adapt to a much bigger school and how he will never forget that.
Whilst a Y9 student stated, "Life is tough, so we should never give up!".

As the digital world becomes ever more embedded in our everyday lives it is imperative that young people are equipped with the skills and knowledge to keep themselves safe online.
Students were asked to create social media posts sharing advice for parents on how to keep children safe online.ย Some of our favourites are shown below.ย
We would encourage you to start a conversation with your son.ย Which games is he playing online and who is he talking to?ย Do you all know how to block and report concerning content?ย Staying safe is everyone's responsibility.ย Click on the link for further information or contact the safeguarding team for support.
