Welcome to Lordswood Publishing House, where creativity takes centre stage and young writers let their imaginations run wild! This is our space to celebrate storytelling, showcase student achievements, and share the exciting literary adventures happening within our school community.
PUBLISHING HOUSE SUCCESS!
a huge congratulations to Jeron in Year 8, who has officially become a published author!
As part of our Peak Performance program last year, Jeron took part in the national Young Writers’ competition, Grimm Tales. This creative challenge invited students to reimagine classic fairy tales or craft their own darkly enchanting stories inspired by the Brothers Grimm.
Jeron rose to the challenge with a witty and original short story about an arrogant prince and a mysterious barista — a modern fable that brews together humour, heart, and a powerful message about humility. His story stood out for its clever twist and sharp dialogue, reminding readers that it’s always wise to be kind and respectful to the person making your coffee! ☕
We’re incredibly proud to announce that Jeron’s story has been selected for publication in the official Grimm Tales anthology, which features some of the best young writing talent from across the country. Having one’s work published at such a young age is an outstanding achievement — and a testament to Jeron’s creativity, imagination, and dedication.
Congratulations again, Jeron, on this remarkable accomplishment! We can’t wait to see where your storytelling journey takes you next.
We’re thrilled to share that the newest members of the Lordswood Publishing House family are already making their mark - by diving headfirst into this year’s National Poetry Competition!
It’s always inspiring to see fresh voices bringing their creativity, courage, and craft to one of the most prestigious poetry contests in the country. Each of our new poets has a unique story to tell, and we couldn’t be prouder of the passion and energy they’re bringing to the page.
Competitions like this are more than just about prizes - they’re about growth, connection, and the joy of sharing words that move people. We’re certain that this experience will be a memorable milestone in their creative journeys.
To all our talented new writers: good luck! 🍀
The whole Lordswood team is cheering you on - and we can’t wait to celebrate your poetic achievements, wherever this adventure takes you.
