EAL outstanding work

Students in the JETS (our EAL literacy group) have been reading a re-telling of Alice in Wonderland this month. 

Alice in Wonderland tells the journey of  young girl who follows a white rabbit into a magical land where nothing makes sense. Alice feels very confused as she shrinks and grows by eating and drinking magic foods. Alice then sets out on a journey to try and return home, however she decides to help her new friends who are being oppressed by the Red Queen. The book includes themes such as friendship, bravery and action.

Students created their own story board to show their understanding of the plot. The students' favourite characters were the Blue Caterpillar and Cheshire Cat.
