We all love Blackrock, right? Well today we are going to figure out how everyone feels about Blackrock and find out their opinions about BRMS!!!
First, we interviewed the 5th grade math specialist. According to Ms. Heibeck ”This school has a more collaborative experience than the Middle Schools I have taught at before”. I agree because as a student at BRMS I find it very fun and helpful to work as a team rather than working by yourself. Ms. Foster thinks that “Middle school is a different experience now that 5th graders are at middle school, but it’s interesting because BRMS has a lot more common areas for students to interact and learn in”.
Next, we interviewed a 5th grade teacher named Ms. Kramer, she quoted, “The movement of classes in the school and kids learning in new communities helps keep the students focused and uses their energy, instead of sitting through hours of classes”. Miryam Berman (a student at black rock) agrees. She says “I like a more free schedule with lots of movement and overall more exercise and concentration throughout the day”. I would have to agree with Miryam, I love the movement and free schedule of BRMS.BRMS is a great school in our opinion and has many cool, new, and exciting opportunities for all of it’s students, teachers, and staff, like the student council club, AGSA club (all genders and sexualities Alliance ), and it even has a very cool art club: Fiber Arts Club, and MANY other ones too!
We all love going to Black Rock because it’s such a great school right? But who helps to keep it in such good shape? Cleans up our messes, and helps us everyday? The wonderful staff and teachers!!! We're going to give a shout out to our beloved principal Mrs.Stout! Thank you Mrs.Stout!
Next, we will be interviewing our Black Rock student of the month and finding out how they feel about BRMS. This month we are going to interview a 5th grade student named Scarlett DiMartino, Ms.DiMartino stated “I like how it is all so new and fresh and has great spaces ”.
Overall, after interviewing multiple teachers and students and learning their thoughts we think that Black Rock is a great community and environment to learn, teach, and grow in as students and teachers of Black Rock Middle School. See you next time on the BRMS Experience, have a great day Scarlett, Claire, and Alaina out.
