- highlight in a DIFFERENT color everywhere the author writes about HOW devices are used (this is the analysis and the place where the author answers the prompt.)
- Read 9/11 speech.
- Write a thesis explaining how President Bush uses rhetorical strategies to develop the meaning of his speech. (Remember to identify the meaning and then the terms that MOST develop the meaning.)
- Then, write a brief outline, outlining which devices you would use.
Homework: Finish chapter 11-12 (146-168) for next class (Yes, we're skipping chapter 9).
