- Review the summary of the chapter we read last class.
- Come up with a purpose of the chapter. What was the author trying to persuade us of? (This goes at the top of your graphic organizer.)
- Then, analyze which rhetorical strategy is most persuasive to his argument. Give a quote or paraphrase, citing the quote/paraphrase correctly.
- Look at Mrs. Gilliam's model for a paragraph.
- Write a paragraph analyzing how Coyle uses persuasive, rhetorical strategies to persuade the audience.
- If time allows, review rhetorical terms and definitions.
