EARN UP TO 20 CREDITS (10 IN MATH AND 10 IN CTS) IN YOUR GRADE YEAR. THIS SATISFIES YOUR REQUIRED MATH CREDITS FOR YOUR DIPLOMA AND YOUR CTS CREDIT MINIMUM AS WELL.


This course is designed for students who want to apply the Math learning outcomes to performance-based projects. This course will be split between the math classroom and in different CTS labs. Students will learn concepts from the Mathematics 10-3 and 20-3 curriculum and then apply them to different CTS courses to build projects and enrich their understanding. The mathematics topics include algebra, geometry, measurement, numbers, statistics and probability.


The CTS topics include woodworking, machining (metal work), CAD (computer aided drafting), entrepreneurship, financing and agriculture. Mathematics & CTS 1020-3 allows students to complete their high school requirements for mathematics, while earning CTS credits all in one class. Prerequisite: It is strongly recommended that students have a Grade 9 Math mark of 50% or higher to register in Math 10-3 or 10-4 for 1020-3.
