Through the science program, students will develop the science related knowledge, skills and attitudes that they need to solve problems and make decisions, and at the same time help them become lifelong learners— maintaining their sense of wonder about the world around them.

Entering high school, students will either enroll into one of the Science programs: Science 10 extended BM2, Science 10, Science 10 AP, Science 14.

Science 10 extended BM2 offers an excellent opportunity for students to strengthen their Science skills that may be lacking from the interruptions in learning due to the pandemic. Although the programing is the same as Science 10, the extended BM2 option provides more time for direct instruction and skill reinforcement. A strong Science 10 foundation is necessary for success at the 20 level Sciences. (60% is recommended for Science 10 or Science 10 extended BM2)

Students enrolling in Science 10 AP or Science 10 may also enroll into Biology 20 AP or Biology 20 for second semester. (80%+ is required for the AP programming)

The Science 14/24 stream provides the knowledge and skills required for students to become scientifically literate with regards to everyday processes. These courses are not recognized by post-secondary institutions for Science related careers but are excellent at building capacity to potentially enroll in Science 10 later.
