Adaptive PE Coach John Kennedy and his student athletes were recognized for their competitve spirit and success at the Annual Falcon Friends Track and Field Day!
The Texas Elementary Art Meet recognizes exemplary student achievements in the visual arts throughout the state of Texas. This year, over 200 elementary schools from our region participated.
18 artisits from Corinth Elementary received exemplary ratings, 7 received perfect scores, and 1 student received Top of Team- an honor awarded to the top 10% of all comeptitors.
CE 5th Grader Tathsilu Perara received a perfect score and Top of Team, marking the 5th consecutive year CE has had student artists earn Top of Team!
Students from Lake Dallas Middle School demonstrated exceptional artistic talent at this year’s Junior Visual Arts Scholastic Event (JrVASE), a regional competition that recognizes creativity and artistic achievement.
A total of 35 LDMS students submitted 40 entries, with an impressive number earning top honors. Thirty-five students received the highest rating of “Superior (4)” and were recognized as medalists for their outstanding work.
In addition, six students earned the prestigious Platinum Honor, awarded to artwork scoring in the top 10% of all entries across the region. These distinguished students include Skylar Cedotal, Malin Garcia, Tariq Hartsfield, Lynden Ludwig, and Olive Thompson.
LDISD congratulates all participating students for their dedication, creativity, and excellence in the visual arts, as well as their dedicated teachers, Mrs. Risenhoover and Mrs. Davis.
Lake Dallas Middle School competed against 9 other area schools in this years Middle School UIL A+ Academic Meet!
Of the 18 students that competed at each grade level, 6 advanced to finals.

The Lake Dallas High School Softball team was recognized for their successful season. With an overall record of 18-8-2, the girls cinched the teams first back-to-back playoff run since 2018 and placed 2nd in district, setting 6 new school records along the way!
The Lake Dallas High School Baseball team was recognized for their successful season. With 15 season wins (the most wins since 2019), the boys secured the teams first back-to-back playoff run since 2018 and outscored opponents 209-153 on the season.
The Lake Dallas High School Boys and Girls Golf Teams were recognized for their hardwork and great season! Notable wins on the season include the boys placing 1st at the Bronco Invitational at Champions Circle and placing 3rd in District, with Griffin Humphries advancing as a Regional Qualifier.
The Lake Dallas High School Track and Field atheltes were recognized for their outstanding season. The boys team advanced two relay teams and three individual competitors to the regional qualifiers, with Josh Moore qualifying for a state run in the 200M with his school-record breaking time of 21.4! The girls sent four atheltes to the regional qualifiers, and saw Jailynn Williams qualify for state in the long jump with her new school record of 18"2.5'!
DECA, a global non-profit student orgniazation, prepares students for careers in marketing, finance, hospitality and management. The LDHS DECA chapter was chartered in October 2024 with 14 members, and this year exapnded to 14 members who competed in various business related events. Multiple students advanced to state, and Ajitesh Mylavarapu competed at the National Competition in Georgia!

Each month, we recognize a teacher and employee of the month from each campus and district department! The Board takes time to recognize these individuals during the meeting.
The oath of office was administered to newly re-elected Board of Trustee Members Lance Stacy and Mark Tucker. The board then took action to establish the Board of Trustee Officers for 2026-2027, voting to maintain Lance Stacy as President, Ginger Collier as Vice President, and Mark Tucker as Secretary.
The Board heard a 2026-2027 Budget Report from Anne Haehn, LDISD Chief Financial Officer
