Enzo was selected as the 5th best French Horn player in Texas and earned a seat in the 5A All-State Sinfonietta Orchestra in San Antonio — the highest honor available to a Texas high school musician.
Overall, the results reflect both the depth of talent in the LDHS Band program and the dedication required to advance through one of the most competitive music audition processes in the state.
The Texas Music Educators Association (TMEA) Clinic/Convention, held February 11–14, 2026 welcomed more than 30,000 attendees from across Texas and around the world.
LDHS Vocalist Helen Stratton earned the prestigious distinction of All-State Member through a rigorous, multi-level audition process that included Region, Pre-Area, and Area competitions.
All-State recognition represents the highest honor a Texas music student can achieve. Only the top 3% of students who begin the audition process ultimately earn the title of All-State musician.
Nathan Gonzalez, a dedicated member of the Lake Dallas FFA Chapter, has been awarded a $1,000 Agricultural Mechanics Supervised Agricultural Experience (SAE) Grant, funded by RaboBank through the National FFA Organization.
SAE projects are a cornerstone of the FFA experience, giving students opportunities to apply classroom learning in real-world agricultural settings—whether that’s running a business, gaining industry experience, or exploring independent research. Through his SAE project, Nathan is developing practical skills, leadership abilities, and career readiness that will serve him well beyond high school.
Nathan’s application stood out among 1,468 submissions from across the country, with only nine students in Texas selected to receive this grant.
